PR-2011-71-1 TRANSCRIPT posted on SCRIBD

Not only did this transcript cost $475 to be compiled by the court reporter, but then Grant County charged another $245 dollars to have it compiled. The cost of these services is prohibitive for the general public, not to mention the client who is indigent. How can anyone expect access to justice if the provision of the "public" record costs many hundred's of dollars merely to obtain from the state?

I do not know with what faith I can place on this document being a true and faithful record. For starters, much of this material was submitted by our adversary, and can only be considered the most egregious form of (unprosecuted) libel and perjury. Secondly, I met with the court reporter and Judge William's clerk Lisa Ledbetter to go over the actual recordings. I do not have much faith in the process of electronic recording, etc. at least insofar as it is practiced in Sheridan. Apparently Sheridan at the time of this posting is without IT support, and the management of the court's electronic and verbal records fail woefully as regards IT management, data and archive integrity, security, and safety management best practices.
